Frequently Asked
Is Credit Training legal?
Yes. Credit education and document-preparation support is legal. In Jamaica, the Credit Reporting Act allows consumers to access their credit report and dispute information they believe is inaccurate or incomplete through the credit bureau’s dispute process. Dispute timelines vary by bureau and the nature of the query.
Is Credit Training and Education worth my time and money?
For many people, yes—when paired with consistent action. We help you understand what drives your credit profile and prioritize practical next steps. Results depend on your history, affordability, and timelines, and we do not guarantee specific outcomes. There are common misconceptions about credit reporting and disputes. Credit education can be effective in many circumstances, especially when you receive guidance from an experienced professional. Anyone with a credit score below 720 can benefit long-term from the advice and information provided through credit education. However, there are limiting factors that may affect outcomes, including: (1) your financial situation and/or (2) the time frame in which you need to reach your goals.
What can I expect when I enroll in Credit Education?
We guide you from start to finish and prepare your documentation pack (evidence and draft correspondence where applicable). Where disputes must be consumer-submitted, we guide correct submission through the bureau’s prescribed channels. We have a superb knowledge of credit scoring and experience working with creditors and credit bureaus. It may be difficult for an individual to communicate with creditors and bureaus without an adept understanding of their techniques and regulations in place for credit reporting. We have invested heavily in Jamaica’s credit reporting framework and documentation standards so we can deliver a structured, evidence-led process. Our guarantee is deliverables-based (assessment, action plan, and dispute-support documentation where applicable)—not outcome-based.
What is your Guarantee?
Deliverables Guarantee: If we do not provide the agreed service deliverables for the package purchased (e.g., assessment, action plan, and dispute-support documentation where applicable), you may request a review within fourteen (14) calendar days of the deliverable due date. We do not guarantee deletions, approvals, or specific score increases.
How long will it take to raise my score?
Timelines vary. Some clients see updates after an initial dispute cycle; others take longer depending on the issues involved, bureau/creditor response times, and client follow-through.
Why are your results different?
Every credit file is different. Outcomes depend on the accuracy and completeness of records, the documentation available, and third-party responses.
Will the removed items come back?
Sometimes an item can reappear if it is re-reported or corrected by the creditor/bureau. If that happens, we guide you on the appropriate next steps and documentation.
What items can you help me to remove and improve?
We commonly assist with late payments, collections, charge-offs/written-off accounts, inquiries, and incorrect personal details (e.g., addresses). Where applicable, we also guide next steps for public-record items such as judgments and tax-related entries.
